OPDL STAFF

Paulo Hurtado, Technical Director, was born and raised in Lima Peru where he began his professional playing career in 1993. Paulo’s professional career spanned 12 years with stops in both 1st and 2nd Divisions.
Hurtado started coaching after his retirement in 2004. He has coached at different levels from CPSL to Grassroots.
Paulo has achieved both National B Licenses from the CSA and FPF.

Isaak Onibudo, OPDL 2003 Boys Head Coach, with over 9 years of coaching experience in youth soccer development. I have worked extensively with boys and girls within SAAC academies, as well as a team in the TSA and CGSL. In my time at Toronto Skillz FC, I was the U17 Girls Head Coach, U20 Boys Head Coach, Assistant Head Coach for the OSL Men's team and League one team. Attended Seneca College for Business Management. I was a member of the Varsity Men's Soccer Team and won back to back OCAA Bronze Medalist.   Besides coaching at the club level, I run private individual technical training sessions. Some of the players I have trained were selected for Provincial Program, U20 Women's National Program, and University Scholarship Recipient.  I currently hold NSCAA National License and CSA National B License.

John Jonke,  OPDL Head Coach 2004 Boys, brings a wealth of experience as a player and coach. Jonke joins us from Urbana University where he served as a graduate Assistant Coach where he obtained his MBA. As a player John was a defender at various positions. He started every game in his four-year career at the University of Louisville between 2005- 09. Jonke’s Cardinals played in back-to-back NCAA tournaments, ranking in the national top 10 in both 2007 and 2008. After graduation,

Jonke went on to play professionally in Finland before moving back to North America, where he spent one year with Baltimore in the USSF DII and one year with FC Edmonton in the NASL. Jonke has been an assistant coach at York University. In 2012 and 2013, York was ranked as high as #1 in the country for several weeks. The Lions finished the 2012 season with a 14-0-1 record John currently holds a USSF national B license. He graduated with a degree in Sports Administration from the University of Louisville in 2009.

Frank Jonke, OPDL Head Coach 2004 Girls, Frank Joins Sc Toronto with a wealth of playing experience both domestic and international.  As a player Frank Was a striker where he initially received his scholarship to NAIA powerhouse Notre Dame. He received all american, all region and Freshman of the year honours. Following Notre Dame, Frank Received a Scholarship To the University of Louisville where he would join his brother John. After 3 successful seasons with University of Louisville he took his talents to Europe enjoying 8 seasons as a professional. During that time Frank was capped by the full national team of Canada. His debut game was against the U.S.A. The last two years of his playing career ended in the Nasl with Fc Edmonton.

Frank has been Coaching full time for the past two years under the mentorship of his brother John. During his time in Europe he was heavily involved with developing the academy teams at the clubs where he played.  Frank holds a CSA National B Licence.

Ian Sinclair, High Performance Coach-OPDL 2005 Girls Head Coach, Sinclair comes to the Club with an extensive coaching background currently working as assistant coach with the University of Toronto women’s soccer program and having  previously served as an assistant coach with the McMaster Marauders men’s soccer team from 2008-12, capturing OUA championships in 2009 and 2011. Sinclair was also an assistant with the Buffalo State College men’s program in 2005 and Brock University in 2004.

Most recently, Sinclair has been coaching at the community level serving as the Rep A head coach for the Oakville Soccer Clubs U18 girls team in 2016, reaching the Ontario Cup semifinals.
Additionally, Sinclair has taken on administrative roles serving as the current Director of Coaching for the Toronto High Park Football Club and previously holding the positions of Technical Director of Grassroots and Special Programs and Technical Director of Female Programs with the Oakville Soccer Club.

Sinclair is a graduate of Niagara College’s Recreation and Leisure Services program and has received both his Canada Soccer and United States Soccer Federation National B License certifications. He has also continued to expand his knowledge frequenting the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Convention, Ontario Soccer Association Coaching Conference and the National Soccer Coaching Conference hosted annually at the University of Toronto.

Angelo Di BenedettoOPDL 2005 Boys Head Coach, 

Dale George Head Goal Keeper Coach, comes to SC Toronto with over 10 years of coaching experience. Most recently Dale comes from spending a number of years with Toronto High Park Soccer Club. George grew up playing basketball and soccer. In his youth, he played for Nasimento and the North York Rockets. Dale then switched to basketball attending Seneca College playing for the college team. Dale has completed the NSCAA Goalkeeper Level 3 Diploma as well as the Ontario Soccer Goalkeeper Diploma. He also has an Ontario Soccer Provincial B License and holds a USSF F License.

Richard Bucciarelli, FITNESS, Richard’s ten-plus years of experience in both the theoretical, and practically applied aspects of sports science, specific to the sport of soccer, have gone into the development of all Soccer Fitness Inc. testing and training programs.  He has also enlisted the help of experts, including doctors, chiropractors, physiotherapists, and exercise physiologists, to ensure that Soccer Fitness Inc. is constantly evolving and staying abreast of the latest and most cutting edge research and technologies related to soccer-specific fitness training.  Check out his services online here www.soccerfitness.ca

Dr. Gringmuth, SIRC Sports Medicine  has worked with players of the Toronto Maple Leafs and was designated as the official sports chiropractor for the NHL visiting teams to Toronto for one season through the Sports Medicine Specialists in 2002.
