Why I Coach:
Being Egyptian, football isn’t just a sport, it’s part of our culture and who we are. Most of my childhood was spent playing the game anywhere we could: on grass, on sand, on pavement, sometimes with a real ball, sometimes with a crushed pop can. It didn’t matter. What mattered was the love and passion for the game.
Football gave me far more than skills on a pitch. It shaped my character. It taught me discipline, resilience, teamwork, accountability, and how to handle both winning and losing. It built my confidence and gave me a sense of belonging. Now I have the opportunity to give that back.
Coaching allows me to instill those same values in the next generation. I want young players to experience the same joy, lessons, and growth that the game gave me. I know firsthand how powerful this sport can be in shaping a person’s life and being part of that journey for others is a privilege. That’s why I coach. And that’s why I love being involved in this sport.
